video/mp4 → URL

Turn an MP4 into a link.

Upload one MP4 and get a clean page you can share, track, protect, and manage, plus a direct URL to the original file.

One upload, two useful links

Share the branded viewing page when context and controls matter, or use the direct file URL when an app, document, or teammate needs the original MP4.

MP4 is a container. The codec still matters.

H.264 video with AAC audio has the broadest browser support. Video2URL stores the original file and does not transcode or repair unsupported codecs.

How to turn an MP4 into a URL

01

Choose your MP4

Select one file reported as video/mp4. For the smoothest playback, use H.264 video and AAC audio.

02

Verify and upload

Complete the security check, review the displayed size and expiry, then keep this tab open until the upload finishes.

03

Copy the right link

Use the private share page for viewing and controls, or copy the direct file URL for the original MP4.

MP4 upload limits and retention

Guest uploads accept one MP4 up to 100 MB, with up to 3 uploads and 300 MB per day. Guest files are retained for 14 days. Signed-in reusable files can be stored without an automatic expiry; always review the expiry shown before upload.

If the MP4 upload or playback fails

Check the MIME type

The browser should identify the file as video/mp4. Renaming another format to .mp4 does not convert its container or codec.

Check the file size

Guest files must be 100 MB or smaller and also fit within the 300 MB daily allowance.

Let the upload complete

A progress bar reaching 100% is not the final link. Keep the page open until Video2URL confirms the share page and direct URL.

Check the codecs

If upload succeeds but playback fails, inspect the video and audio codecs. Re-encode as H.264 with AAC for wider browser support.

MP4 to link questions

How do I turn an MP4 into a link?

Choose an MP4, finish the security check and upload, then copy the Video2URL share page or direct file URL.

Does Video2URL convert or compress my MP4?

No. Video2URL stores the original MP4 without transcoding, compression, or codec repair.

Which MP4 codecs work in browsers?

H.264 video with AAC audio provides the broadest browser compatibility. Other codecs inside an MP4 container may not play everywhere.

How large can my MP4 be?

A guest upload can be up to 100 MB. Guest use is also limited to 3 uploads and 300 MB total per day.

How long does an MP4 link last?

Guest files are retained for 14 days. Signed-in reusable files can have no automatic expiry; check the expiry shown before each upload.

What is the difference between the share page and direct URL?

The share page adds a viewer and link controls. The direct URL serves the original MP4 and is useful for apps, embeds, and file delivery.
